THE DREAM There was this dead bird in a pool of water. It seemed a very colourful and beautiful bird and the water seemed stagnant.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION The previous day the dreamer had seen an ex girlfriend. He still had feelings for her but realised that it was all over. He realised that both of them now accepted that it was over despite them still having feelings. The dead bird stood for the death of a wonderful relationship and the stagnant water was symbolic of their acceptance of this. They were walking past each other without even thinking about it.
